Boys Volunteering Requirements

Wolfpack Lacrosse is a fully funded varsity sport through ISD709, however, to reduce costs we are choosing to support game day operations with volunteers. The number of volunteer shifts will vary each year, based upon how many players go out for the teams.

Using SignUp.com

For 2024, we will be using SignUp.com to sign up for volunteering shifts. To access the SignUp.com system, click this link: https://signup.com/go/zhJGLWP

To claim your shifts, follow these steps:

  1. Click the SIgnUp button on the website to navigate to the online platform.  

  2. Shifts are displayed by date.

  3. To claim a slot, click on the Green Sign Up button

  4. You will be asked to enter your name and phone number then click save.

  5. You will receive a reminder of your shift via email.

Within SignUp, you will be able to see the shifts you have signed up for, and the number of shifts you have completed (credits). You will also be able to add the shifts to your Outlook or other personal calendar or print your shifts.

Volunteer Roles

  • Locate and setup bins and ensuer that sideline table is set up

    Bins should include white balls, cones, walkie-talkies score sheets, stopwatch, etc

    Place balls at out of bounds lines around field. Replace at end of each quarter / halftime

    Collect out of play balls at halftime and end of the game

    Assist with cleanup & takedown at end of the game

    Serve as substitute in case of volunteer no-show

  • Review the instructions for running the scoreboard. Familiarize yourself with function keys.

    If you have questions the school’s site manager or member of the booster club may be able to assist you

    Watch the game to help the announcer with players numbers for scoring, assists, and penalties

  • Announce team line ups, goals, sponsorships and other details

    Play music as approved by ISD709 athletic directors

  • You do not need to know the rules to sit at the scorer’s table!

    Referees will provide you with instructiuons before the game

    Track penalties & minutes via provided stopwatch

    Provide starting rosters from coaches to the announcer

    Notify announcer/spotter about clock stoppages via walkie-talkie

    Assist with cleanup & takedown at the end of the game
